NGOs and Heritage Organisations
Our experienced ecologists deliver surveys and advice for projects such as historic building restoration, habitat management and visitor access improvements. With clear, compliant guidance, we help charity and heritage organisations protect biodiversity and support the long-term stewardship of historically and environmentally significant sites.
Working with NGOs & heritage organisations
NGOs and heritage organisations encompass a diverse range of sites, from historic buildings and cultural landscapes to gardens, parks and community green spaces. Specialist ecological advice from an experienced team will ensure that projects to restore, extend or improve these sites are delivered sensitively and sustainably.
Our ecologists support projects including the restoration and maintenance of churches, listed buildings and scheduled monuments, as well as wider landscape restoration initiatives. Working collaboratively with project teams, we can help you protect biodiversity and meet environmental and planning requirements, with clear advice tailored to the needs of your site.
How it works
We’ll work closely with your team to understand your objectives and identify constraints and opportunities, recommending ecological surveys to support successful project delivery:
01
Understanding your project
We begin by discussing your project, site and objectives to understand the ecological considerations involved and the nature of your site; for example, if it includes Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs) or Special Areas of Conservation (SACs).
02
Ecological surveys and assessments
Depending on your project, survey work may include Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, protected species surveys, National Vegetation Classification or Habitat Regulations Assessments.
03
Supporting project delivery
If required, our support can continue beyond the survey and reporting stage. We can quote further work to advise on mitigation measures, habitat enhancement, ecological management and compliance throughout project delivery.
