Supporting local ecology
We’ll work closely with you to tailor suitable ecological input into your project, saving costs and time, whilst keeping to the survey guidelines published by CIEEM, Bat Conservation Trust and other wildlife organisations.
Preliminary Ecological Appraisal
We will record habitats on site to determine if any protected habitat or species could potentially be impacted by the development, recommending further surveys where necessary.
Biodiversity Net Gain
Our Biodiversity Net Gain consultancy services will help you meet legislation and planning requirements, reaching a net gain of 10% or more on or off-site.
Ecological Clerk of Works
Our Ecological Clerk of Works (ECoW) support provides on-site supervision during sensitive works, helping you to ensure compliance with planning conditions and protected species legislation.
National Vegetation Classification
National Vegetation Classification (NVC) surveys provide detailed analysis of plant communities and habitats on-site. Our qualified ecologists can support this process to ensure compliance, clarity & beneficial outcomes for nature.
Ecological Impact Assessment
An EcIA will provide clear, evidence-led assessment of ecological impacts on habitats, species and ecosystems, helping your development progress in line with planning requirements.
Environmental Management Plans
Construction Environmental Management Plans (CEMPs) and Landscape Ecological Management Plans (LEMPs) will provide you with structured guidance before, during and after construction projects.
Habitat Regulations Assessment
Habitat Regulations Assessments (HRA) identify whether a development may impact protected European sites. We'll provide clear, evidence-led assessments to support your planning applications.
Complex reporting structures
At aLyne Ecology, we can also support your project with the following complex reports and assessments:
- Reptile Mitigation Strategies: Setting out how reptiles will be protected during development, including capture, translocation and habitat management.
- Great Crested Newt District Licence Applications: Supporting an alternative approach to mitigation licensing which aims to provide new or better habitats for great crested newts.
- Biodiversity Enhancement Schemes (BES): Identifying practical opportunities to improve habitats on site, supporting biodiversity gains through targeted ecological enhancements.
- Ecological Mitigation and Enhancement Schemes (EMES): Outlining how impacts will be addressed and biodiversity improved, with clear, structured measures to support planning and delivery.
- Precautionary Method Statements: Setting out clear working methods to mitigate harm to protected species, allowing developmentsto proceed safely if ecological risk is present but not confirmed.
